Miranda is the House Director of Burghley
house Preservation Trust and a Deputy
Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire. She is a
Governor of Stamford Endowed Schools and
Trustee and Patron of a number of charities
in her local comunity that support the elderly
and the vunerable. She and her family are
active members of the Peterborough Area
Down’s Syndrome Group and she is a mother
of Cosmo who has Down’s Syndrome.
Cosomo is 18 and has ambitions to be a
spym afilm producer and a drummer in a
rock band.
Laura Tilley
Chairperson
Laura has chaired the Peterborough Area
Down’s Syndrome Group for over 8 years,
during a period of significant growthand
evolutionfor the group. She is mum to
Hannah, Ruby and Gracie. Ruby has Down’s
Syndrome and Laura and her family are very
active members of the Peterborough Area
Down’s Syndrome Group, tking great pride in
thier family.
Laura Kelsey
Vice Chairperson/Secretary
Laura is married to Robert and mother to
Gabriella and Jules, Laura has been a Trustee
of PADSG for over 10 years since Gabriella
was year old. As well as taking part in some
of the groups adventurous fundraising
activities, Laura’s involvement in the group
ranges from welcoming new families to the
PADSG to performing the role of Secretary
Kim Richardson
Treasurer
Kim was the original Treasurer in 1998 when
the Peterborough branch of the Down
Syndrome Association (DSA) was opened. In
2002, she was involved in developing the
branch into its own registered charity, the
Peterborough Area Down Syndrome Group.
From those small beginnings, a wonderfully
supportive charity has flourished, helping
many childrenand adults with down’s
Syndrome and thier families in our local area
including Kim’s own family of three boys. She
returned to the role of Treasurer in 2018 as
her middle son Sean, who has Down’s
Syndrome, has become an adult.
Lynne Faulder
Trustee
Lynne works in Local Governmet and has
over thirty years public sector experience
including management and partnership
working. She holds a Masters degree in
Business Administation. She is a mum of
four children, the youngest are identical twin
girls who both have Down’s Syndrome.
Lynne and her Family have benefited from
the support and opportunities provided by
Peterborough Area Down’s Syndrome Group.
Johanna Roberts
Trustee
Johanna used to be a GP ut now works as a
part time Chiropodist. William her youngest
has Down’s Syndrome. Joh also runs a
learnng diability swimming club, PSOSG. She
became involved with PADSG a few years ago
through the young adult Sppech Thaerapy
Group.
Tammy Fitzjohn
Trustee
Tammy is a mum of 3. Henry her youngest
has Down’s Syndrome , as a family they have
benefitted from the group for few years now.
The group has been a big help in many ways
including socially. Tammy now coordinates
the speech, language and occupational
therapy group sessions for babies and pre-
school children and those up to the age of
young adults.
Michelle Grey
Trustee
Michelle became a trustee for PADSG a few
years ago. She organises the Babble group
sessions for the younger members. She is
also involved in fund raising and has held
coffee mornings, “boozy bingo” and raffles.
She found PADSG when her daughter,
Lucy, was 3 weeks old. Lucy was diagnosed at
birth with Down’s Syndrome.
Chris Fitzjohn
Trustee
Chris has been involved wih PADSG since the
arrival of Henry the youngest of his three
children. The importance of the support of a
group like this in the early years was
astounding. Thats what made him want to
become a Trustee. He has been
concentrating on accesing fundingfor the
amazing work the group does.
